VINYL celebrate our first birthday on Saturday 26th June at Dolans Warehouse.

Between the VINYL and FOOTWORK nights we've had appearances from Charles Webster,Jori Hulkkonen,Jay-J, Rithma, Kenny Hawkes, Sugar Hill Gang, Phil Hartnoll, the ever popular Fishgodeep, The Bodytonic possee and a good few locals dj's. We've had great nights, crap nights , mental nights and some that were just plain odd but above all else we've had a laugh and heard some excellent music...which was the point of this thing in the first place. Many thanks to those who came , played or just helped us out.

We hope some of ye may join us Saturday week when Chicago Houser BOO WILLIAMS takes to the Warehouse stage as part of his Irish tour for what promises to be a night of quality house music.

BOO WILLIAMS is a man who was playing 'deep house' when it still meant the deepest, darkest disco that Frankie and Larry used to play.
As a regular at the legendary Warehouse, where Frankie Knuckles held sway in the late 70's and early 80's, and at Ron hardy's wild Music Box, Boo was perfectly placed to watch the ascent of house music from a thriving underground scene full of wired, enthusiastic kids to a worldwide phenomenon.
He spent much of his adolescence building a formidable DJ-ing reputation, playing at Lil Louis' legendary parties in The Hotel Bismarck and gaining a residency at The Powerhouse.
It was Glenn Underground who persuaded him to move into the studio in the early 90's and, along with the likes of DJ Sneak and Green Velvet, he became a leading light in the second wave of Chicago house on labels like relief and cajual that ripped up dancefloors in the mid 90's.

As anyone who saw him in The Sir Henry's tent at Homelands 2000 will testify, this man knows exactly what house music is all about - past, present and future. A veritable giant of a man and an awesome DJ, Boo is going to jack you til you scream and no mistake.
