Title: South African Deep House Hits The UK - Soul Khula
Date Added: 04 Aug 2002

No Image

South African based Soul Khula, are a duo comprised of enterprising and recognized electro-soul-jazz-heads, Craig Massiv and Troye Lilley. As members of the ever-evolving Jazzworx axis, they’ve put out work that’s topped local radio charts, ruled its dancefloors and earned two prestigious South African Music Award nominations (Best Dance Album 2001 and Best Group 2002).

A highly encouraging deal with UK Label Inspirit Music will include the remix services of the label’s resident mix maestro’s Andy Caldwell, Kaskade, Fred Everything and the Beard, which will no doubt push Soul Khula’s slick sounds further into international waters.

With the release of the “Musication EP” – the first of three for the label featuring South Africa’s leading jazz guitarist Louis Mhlanga and Inspirit’s own Soul Sista on vox. Soul Khula are capping the promise they’ve exhibited over the past few years and are taking the sounds of South Africa outside of its borders and onto the world’s strobelit floors. Soul Khula’s first UK appearance will be 20th September 2002 at Bar Rhumba in Soho, Central London. Please see UK Music press for more information.
